International Cooperation Approach

Hakkari University adopts an inclusive, sustainable and cooperation-oriented approach to internationalisation, aiming to strengthen academic, institutional and intercultural collaboration through European Union programmes. International cooperation activities are designed to contribute to institutional development, regional engagement and global academic interaction.

Strategic Internationalisation

The Erasmus+ Office supports the internationalisation strategy of Hakkari University by:

  • expanding academic and institutional cooperation networks,

  • encouraging balanced incoming and outgoing mobility,

  • promoting geographical diversity in partnerships,

  • supporting long-term and sustainable cooperation.

Programme-Based Cooperation

International cooperation activities at Hakkari University are implemented within the framework of:

  • the Erasmus+ Programme, including higher education and youth actions,

  • Erasmus+ mobility for higher education under KA131 (Programme Countries) and KA171 (Partner Countries – International Dimension),

  • activities implemented under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Programme.

This structure ensures a clear distinction between higher education mobility actions and youth-focused activities, while maintaining the holistic framework of European Union programmes.

Geographical Diversity and Inclusiveness

Hakkari University places particular emphasis on:

  • cooperation with institutions from different geographical regions,

  • strengthening partnerships with both Programme Countries and Partner Countries,
