Accommodation & Practical Information

Hakkari University provides guidance and support to incoming academic and administrative staff regarding accommodation and practical arrangements during their mobility period. While accommodation arrangements are primarily the responsibility of the visiting staff member, the Erasmus+ Office offers assistance to facilitate the process.

University Guesthouse

Accommodation at the Hakkari University Guesthouse may be available for incoming staff members, depending on availability and institutional conditions. The Erasmus+ Office assists incoming staff in coordinating guesthouse accommodation requests. Staff members who wish to stay at the University Guesthouse are kindly requested to contact the Erasmus+ Office in advance.

Nearest Airports and Transportation

The nearest airports to Hakkari University are:

  • Yüksekova Selahaddin Eyyubi Airport
    Approximately 80 km from Hakkari city centre.
    Transportation to Hakkari is available by taxi or local transfer options.

  • Van Ferit Melen Airport
    Approximately 200 km from Hakkari city centre.
    Van Ferit Melen Airport is frequently used for international and domestic arrivals. From Van, travel to Hakkari is possible by intercity bus or private transportation.

Travel time may vary depending on weather conditions and traffic.
