Arrival Information

This page provides essential information to help incoming Erasmus+ students plan their arrival at Hakkari University smoothly and complete initial procedures on time.

Arrival Before the Semester

Incoming students are strongly advised to arrive before the start of classes, in line with the academic calendar of Hakkari University, in order to complete registration and orientation procedures.

Nearest Airports and Transportation

The nearest airports to Hakkari University are:

  • Yüksekova Selahaddin Eyyubi Airport
    Approximately 80 km from Hakkari city centre.
    Transportation to Hakkari is available by taxi or local transfer options.

  • Van Ferit Melen Airport
    Approximately 200 km from Hakkari city centre.
    From Van, students may travel to Hakkari by intercity bus or private transportation.

Travel time may vary depending on weather conditions and traffic conditions.

Arrival at the University

Upon arrival in Hakkari, incoming students are required to contact the Erasmus+ Office in order to:

  • confirm their arrival,

  • receive guidance on registration procedures, and

  • obtain practical information related to campus and accommodation.

Required Documents Upon Arrival

Incoming students are required to present only their passport or national ID upon arrival at Hakkari University.

All other documents, including the nomination and the Online Learning Agreement (OLA), are submitted electronically in advance through the Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) system and therefore do not need to be submitted again in hard copy upon arrival.

Certificate of Arrival

A Certificate of Arrival can be issued by the Erasmus+ Office upon request after the student’s arrival and registration at Hakkari University.

Students who need this document for their home institution are advised to contact the Erasmus+ Office shortly after arrival.
