About the Congress

CONGRESS CALL

Short name "Support to Chose" with Contract Number [2020-1-TR01-KA202-092936], prepared within the Directorate of Hakkari University Continuing Education Application and Research Center, evaluated and accepted within the scope of the European Union (EU) 2020 Erasmus+ KA202 Vocational Education Strategic Partnership Projects. In the closing program of the project, whose long name is "Development Of Co-Agency Coaching & Mentoring System To Support Vet Students In Their Decision Making Process For The Future", the Future of Vocational Education Congress will be held between 14-15 June 2023. As a result of 30 months of work on Vocational Education, various focus groups, field research, seminars, workshops, face-to-face and online trainings were held with our partners consisting of 7 institutions from 5 different countries. The studies were carried out based on the problems of "early school leaving", "skill mismatch" and "the existence of young masses who are neither employed nor at work" in the Vocational Education process. In solving these problems, 4 basic outputs were determined in the project. The planned outputs are as follows;

O1: Development of a Joint Institutional Coaching and Mentoring Framework
O2: Creating a Future Elections Support Training Module
O3: Creating an Online Training Module to Support Future Elections
O4: Conducting Impact Assessment to Support Future Elections

In the research conducted, 5 common problem sources were identified in 5 countries. These are as follows:  Motivation, Skills, Educational Systems and Educational Policies, Environmental Factors, Awareness.

Since the impact of Vocational High School teachers on the process in solving these problems was revealed both in our study and in other studies in the literature, coaching and mentoring trainings were provided for Vocational High School teachers. The purpose of this congress, in addition to all these processes, is to discuss the Future of Vocational Education on the following topics and to open all data, modules and applications related to the project process to the discussion of valuable scientists.

The congress will be held in two ways: face to face and online. Additionally, a Workshop will be organized within the framework of the congress program. For the congress, studies in English and Turkish will be accepted.
